Increasing Demands on Primary Care Service and Unacceptable behaviour of Patients Towards Practice Staff

Posted by: rachelmatthews - Posted on:

As you will be aware the NHS is currently under huge pressure and demand for GP services is increasing. Our receptionists are the first point of contact for many patients and are working in challenging circumstances.

GP surgery staff are facing increasing levels of abuse from patients – a recent poll by the body that represents GP staff across the UK, found that 75% of staff face some sort of abuse every day.

Our staff deserve the right to be treated with dignity and respect. We take a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to all forms of abuse to our staff.

PLEASE be kind to our staff – they are people just like you and they are trying their best to help everyone under extremely difficult circumstances.
