Covid-19 vaccine

As you will be aware the NHS Covid Vaccination Programme is due to commence today, Tuesday 8 December 2020. It is expected that initially the vaccinations will be given at ‘hospital hub’ sites before the programme is expanded into the community. The first to receive the vaccination will be people over 80, care home staff and NHS staff who are at higher risk. We do not yet have a definite date for when we will be able to start the vaccination programme locally in our area for our patients. The vaccination programme will take many months to complete and patients will be invited when supplies are available. Please wait your turn. Please avoid contacting the surgery regarding this – patients in at risk groups will be invited when supplies are available. Dr C Hirst 8 December 2020
