Covid Vaccination Clinics

Posted by: marcia - Posted on:

We are aware that some patients have received a letter from NHS England inviting them to attend a mass vaccination centre to have their vaccination.

We have heard that patients are being advised by 119 to phone their GP if they wish to have their vaccination with their GP rather than at a mass vaccination centre. There is no need to phone us if you wish us to vaccinate you – we will be aware that you wish us to vaccinate you and we will be in touch as soon as we can to arrange your vaccination. Please DO NOT CALL US to tell us this – these calls are having a huge impact on our telephone system resulting in other patients being unable to get through who need medical advice for other problems.

We are still planning and offering Covid vaccinations here in Kippax. We have 4 clinics planned in the next two weeks and are in the process of inviting patients to make appointments for these clinics. The Government has now advised that we can start to work down the age groups for vaccinations so that is what we are doing. Our reception staff are working very hard contacting patients to screen them for their vaccinations and get them booked in at Kippax.

Unfortunately, we have no control over the delivery of vaccines to us and we don’t always get much warning about when our next delivery will be. But as soon as we know when we are getting vaccines and how many, we start to plan and book our clinics.

We continue to contact as many patients as we can, as soon as we can, to get them booked in for their vaccination.

Thank you for your understanding.
