Cervical Screening

We have been informed by the cervical screening service that they are experiencing delays within the service. As a result they have advised us that patients may get a telephone call advising that they need further investigations at the hospital before they receive any written results. Further investigations may be required for a variety of reasons some of which are not serious. The practice receives the result at the same time as the patient so we will not have any further information to pass on unfortunately. We would encourage patients to await the appointment that has been made for them at the hospital and further information and advice will be given then.
