ON 5th July the NHS celebrated it’s 70th birthday.
To celebrate we had a display in our Gibson Lane Practice reception area and had buns & a tombola stalls for patients to buy & participate.
We’d like to thank our wonderful patients for supporting our bun and tombola sale for the NHS 70th birthday.
We raised an amazing £223.13
We are giving £100 of this to Dr Hirst to donate to the Blood Wise Charity in support of the 1st Tadcaster Scout Group who did the walk from Windermere back to Tadcaster in memory of a previous scout leader who died from leuakaemia’
The other £100 is the going to the Garry Chappelow Memorial fund. They have kindly sponsored the shirts for Healthly Lifestyle’s walking football.
The last £23.13 has been given to Dr Hirst as she is competing in the ‘pink wave’ triathlon on Sunday 15th July.
We were also visited by one of oldest patients who is celebrating his 100th birthday soon as well as a wonderful patient who donated tombola prizes and joined us for a bun and a cup of tea.
